We all know that carrots are healthy – they contain rich amounts of vitamin A and beta-carotene which are crucial for our eyesight. They are also a great source of vitamins B, C and K and essential minerals such as manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and iron.
Despite being great for our vision, carrots also improve bowel movements and strengthen the immune system. They can also relieve asthma, cough, bronchitis and other respiratory problems.
The following natural recipe contains carrots and will eliminate phlegm from your lungs and treat cough. Here’s how to prepare it:
Half a kg. of carrots
3-4 tablespoons of organic honey
Cut the carrots in slices then boil them in water in order to soften them. When they are soft enough, take the pot from the heat and mash them with a fork or use a blender, and don’t throw away the water in which they were boiled.
Allow the water to cool down, then add the honey. Add this mixture into the mashed carrots and mix well to create a syrup that should be kept in the fridge.
This natural syrup is safe for frequent use. Take 3-4 tablespoons throughout the day for best results.
You should see an improvement in just a day or two – the phlegm from your lungs will start clearing up and your cough should soon be subdued.
