The name of the condition known as chicken skin or goose skin is keratosis pilaris. This condition usually appears before 30 on the arms, cheeks, thighs and buttocks. It passes on its own, but you can ease the symptoms with some natural treatments.
The itchy and inflamed white or red bumps are not serious or contagious, but can cause scarring. Chicken skin is caused by building up of keratin at the follicles of the hair, and appears especially among young children.

Coconut oil and sugar
• Mix coconut oil and sugar. Add about one tablespoon of honey to make the mixture moisturizing.

Keratosis pilaris can be treated in the same way as acne. You can dry the skin more, and the condition will worsen. So, if you treat acne with alcohol, salicylic and harsh scrubs, don’t do the same with keratosis pilaris. Gentle scrub with sugar and coconut oil or the mask with apple cider vinegar and coconut oil is far more better.
