The cucumber diet is a simple and effective diet plan which doesn’t include strict regimen or starvation. Its basic version lasts for 10 days, although there are versions of the diet which are based on a 14-day diet plan.
This diet is actually based on cucumber salad which can be consumed throughout the day, as many times as you want, but without any additional spice or dressing.
Other ingredients you can eat throughout the day:
- 2 boiled eggs, or 150 grams of tuna without oil, or 150 grams of chicken breasts
- 2 big boiled potatoes, or 3 slices of integral bread
- 500 grams of fresh fruit
During the diet, you are allowed to drink water, tea and unsweetened coffee. You must strictly avoid alcohol, soft drinks, and candies.
You can consume plenty of cucumber smoothies or cucumber salad as your main meal or as a snack. In other words, you are allowed to take cucumber whenever you are hungry.
What you need for the cucumber salad:
It is very simple and easy to prepare this salad. You just need: 400 grams of cucumber, 2dl of yoghurt, and some garlic optionally.
How to make the cucumber shake:
Put one cucumber, one apple, a handful of spinach, and some ginger (optionally) in a blender and blend until properly combined. Pour the smoothie in a glass and enjoy!
An example of a daily menu:
Breakfast: cucumber salad and 2 hard-boiled eggs
Snack: 5 plums, 1 apple, peach or other seasonal fruit in total 200 grams.
Lunch: cucumber salad, whole-wheat bread toast.
Snack: cucumber smoothie.
Dinner: 300 grams of fruits by your choice.
