Practice for hands in carpal tunnel syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome appears due to prolonged repetition of the same gestures


1-The both hands firmly tighten into a fist, hold them so several seconds, then abruptly open hands and straighten your fingers. Repeat this 10 times.


2-By circular motions rotate your hands in the joint on the palm. Make ten circular motions from internal and 10 external side.

3-Make circular movements of thumbs in both directions. Repeat this 10 times.

4-Strongly press the palms of each other. Let your elbows to be in shoulder height. With clenched fingers, space palms while increasing the distance between joints. Fingers should remain merged all the time while doing this exercise. Then return your hands to their original positions. Repeat this 10 times.

4-Take up the palms over your head, and let them free to fall down. Repeat this 20 times.

This complex of exercises should be doing several times a day, especially after a hard physical work or a day spent behind a computer, with a hand constantly on the mouse.


These exercises also:

-Maintain the flexibility of fingers and joints.

-Improve circulation.

-Remove the swelling.


As you can, do more movement with hands. Carpal tunnel syndrome appears due to long repetition of the same movements. If long work at the computer must buy bigger mouse.

If you follow these simple exercises and rules will avoid difficult and unpleasant painful symptoms in your hands, arms and neck.
