Gout is caused by excessive uric acid in an organism where improper kidney operation leads to uric acid retention and consequently crystallization.
Gout is a very painful condition which leads to joint redness, swelling and heating, as well as sensitivity to touch. Gout is always chronic and the commonly prescribed therapy is taking aspirins for the remainder of a patient’s life.
However, there is always a natural alternative to pharmaceuticals if one knows where to find it. We offer you such an alternative in the form of a tasty and fresh beverage, with anti-inflammatory properties.
What you need
Sour cherry juice (1 cup of);
Turmeric (powdered, 1-2 teaspoons of);
A fresh ginger root;
How to make it:
Prepare your pineapple by peeling of its skin, removing the stem (this is optional, you can use the stem as well because it has bromein in it) and cutting it into slices. Blend the pineapple slices until they are fully mashed. Pour your sour cherry juice, add the ginger and turmeric, and blend again. Adding the honey is optional, depending on your taste preferences.
When you are done, pour your drink into a glass container and make sure you seal it tight. Store it in the fridge and wait for at least 10 days before using it. You can dose the drink through several days, however, be advised that it should stay no longer than a month in your fridge.
